CAL Insurance is in the business of protecting our clients financial assets and corporate well being. CAL Insurance is a dynamic sales organization that recognizes above all else that growth and profitability are critical to its ability to meet all its other goals. It is understood that we are going to be successful only if we adhere to the highest set of ethics and integrity in all our business endeavors so that our customers and companies and employees feel good about being associated with us

HISTORY of CAL INSURANCE
In 1927, Cyril Anthony Lagomarsino founded a real estate/insurance business called CAL Insurance and CAL Realty. The name of the businesses, contrary to most people's belief, has nothing to do with the state of California or the University of California, but Cyril's initials. It was located at 515 Frederick Street, San Francisco, across from Kezar Stadium.
The business was very successful, but Cyril wanted to expand the insurance side of the business and wanted it to continue beyond his time. To do this, he took a young Clayton Hauge in as a partner in CAL Insurance in 1961.
In 1962, Paul Zavagno joined CAL Insurance as a partner and in 1963 CAL Insurance became the corporation that exists today, CAL Insurance & Associates, Incorporated.
CAL Insurance & Associates was unique for its time in that it put together a cache of 19 agencies around the Bay Area. Unfortunately, due to market forces, the agencies that made up the associates began to splinter to a point where Clayton Hauge left the organization and established CAL Insurance as a sole proprietor. In 1975, his son Scott Hauge came into the agency with a two-part plan: grow the agency account by account, and by acquiring other agencies.
In 1980, Clayscott Insurance Agency, Incorporated was established.
In 1982, Clayton Hauge retired. That same year, Scott Hauge purchased CAL Insurance & Associates Incorporated from Paul Zavagno, bringing the agency back into the Hauge family.
CAL Insurance & Associates now has 35 employees and prides itself on the services it provides its customers. It provides all lines of insurance including home, automobile, business, life and benefits.
Its motto "Always Looking Out for You" is truly the case because besides providing insurance for its customers, Scott Hauge has become a leader in the small business community in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Washington DC. He has saved millions of dollars for small business in taxes and established programs that have helped small businesses to comply with regulations and to obtain government contracts.
